Coyote Hunting

I went coyote hunting with Uncle Bingo today in the west desert. We didn't see any coyotes. However we did see some interesting sites.

Here is a map of the route that we took. We went over 41 miles of dirt roads today.

I have marked on the map with my gps the location where the pictures were taken.

Uncle Bingo loads his 220 swift in preparation of any coyotes that might be seen.

Old mining truck. They don't build them like this anymore.

Some type of mining equipment.

This is an old mine that we found. It is big enough to drive a truck in. I placed a geocache under a cedar by this mine.

Here is some green powdery stuff that was probably left over from the mining. I bet it is deadly.

Here is a sign for Hastings cutoff.

Here is the shack that they kept the dynamite in for the mine.

Uncle Bingo looks like he's been playing in that "green stuff" too long. Better have him checked out.
