Today I noticed a swarm of bees on the outside of one of my empty beehives. I had a swarm trap that I had set up just for such a purpose that was only two feet away from the swarm. I guess bees just go where they want to. I was able to catch the queen and put her in a empty hive. The rest of the bees soon followed.
