The Harmonica

I recently purchased some new harmonicas. I bought a Suzuki Folk Master in the key of A. A Hohner Golden Melody in the key of G and a Hohner Old Stand By in the key of Bb. The Golden Melody is definitely fuller and louder, however it is harder for me to play single notes on. Here are some tabs that I converted from some church hymns and various songs. The spacing on the notes may be off when this post to the page.

I am a child of God, and He has sent me here, has

6 5 5 6 6 -5 -5 5 5 -4 7 -6 6
Given me an earth-–ly home with parents kind and dear,

5 6 5 6 6 -5 -4 -5 -7 -7 -6 -6 6
Lead me, guide me walk beside me, help me find the way.

Teach me all that I must do to live with him some-day

In Our Lovely Deseret

6 -5 5 6 7 -8 7 7 -7 -6 -7 7 -6 6
In our love-ly Des-er-et, Where the Saints of God have met,

6 -5 5 6 7 -8 8 8 -8 7 -8
There’s a mult-ti-tude of chil-dren all a-round

6 -5 5 6 7 -8 7 7 -7 -6 -7 7 -6 6
They are gen-er-ous and brave, They have pre-cious souls to save;

8 -8 7 7 7 7 -7 7 -8 -7 7
They must lis-ten and o-bey the gos-pel’s sound.

8 8 8 -8 7 -6 6 7 -8 -8 8 -8 7 8 -8
Hark! Hark! Hark! '‘tis chil-ren'’s mu-sic, Chil-dren voic-es, oh, how sweet,

6 -5 5 6 7 -8 7 7 -7 -6 -7 7 -6 6
When in in-no-cence and love, Like the an-gels up a-bove

8 -8 7 7 7 7 -7 7 -8 -7 7
They with hap-py hearts and cheer-ful fac-es meet.

Follow The Prophet

-6 6 -6 -7 7 -6
Ad-am was a proph-et

-8 7 -8 8 -9 8 8 8 -9 8 -8 8 -8 7 -7 7 -7
First one that we know. In a place called Ed-en, he helped things to grow.

-6 6 -6 -7 7 -6 -8 7 -8 8 -9 8 8 8 -9 8 -8
Ad-am served the Lord by fol-low-ing his ways. We are his de-scen-dants

8 -8 7 -7 -6 -6 -6 -7 7 -6 -8 -8 8 -9 -8
In the lat-ter days. Fol-low the proph-et, fol-low the proph-et,

8 8 -9 8 -8 8 -8 -7 7 -7 -6 -6 -7 7 -6
Fol-low the proph-et; don’t go a-stray. Fol-low the proph-et,

-8 -8 8 -9 -8 8 8 -9 8 -8 8 9 9 -10
Fol-low the proph-et, Fol-low the proph-et; he knows the way

Pop-corn ball that would smell so sweet. It wasn'’t really so,

-4 5 -5 6 -6 6 6 6 -6 6 -5 5 4 -4 4
But it seemed to be Pop-corn pop-ping on the ap-ro-cot tree.

First of all...Church music does not suck ! I am just not sure why slakis felt he had to make such a negative comment. Oh well, his opinion, right ? I love the music and it really touches me and makes me feel happy, peaceful and just basically happier. I have to say that I have searched all over for the harmonica music to "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief". Thank you so much for making this music available to the public.
