The purpose of this blog is to document my endeavors to grow tomatoes in the 2004 season.

Over the past several years my harvest in my garden has continued to decline. It was to the point where I considered not doing a garden at all. I have tried incorporating compost into my soil. I even have a beehive on the edge of my garden. But alas the production of the garden continued to decline.

Over the years I have heard of the Mittleider method of gardening. I never gave it much thought until I actually saw a garden that was using many of the methods that Mittleider endorses. I was impressed with what I saw. I decide to give it a go.

I am going to try as many of these practices as I can in my garden in the coming year. This will be my record.
