I made 22 pint jars of salsa today. It is nice to use my own tomatoes since the average price right now at the store is .99 a pound.
I also took my son and his friend Trevor out to shoot my flintlock.
This is Trevor loading and firing the flintlock.

My wife went shopping at Wal-mart today. This in itself is not unusual, however while there the Wal-mart greeter ask my wife if she could bring in the zucchini that she saw at the fair because no one at work would believe how big it was. Alas I have grated that zucchini up for sweet bread and it is now sitting my freezer.

Here are some pictures of some of my tomatoes. It shows what size they can obtain with pruning and fertilizing. However I learned that it is important not to over water the tomatoes or they will get cracks.

I just got back from fishing in Wyoming. I went with my friend Eddie. We fished 3 rivers in Wyoming and 1 river in Utah. The rivers that we fished were the Grey, Green and the Hobart. We were trying to get the four different species of cutthroat trout that Wyoming has to offer so that we could qualify for the cutt slam program.
Here is Eddie Holding the first cutt that was caught. Eddie had the camera and I was usually at the other end of the river when I caught a fish.
Here are the flies that I used on this trip.

Wyoming Cutt-Slam: "Wyoming is home to four species of native cutthroat trout and the state has instituted a program called Cutt Slam that recognizes anglers who successfully catch all four. The Cutt Slam was initiated by Ron Remmick of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department as a way to increase public awareness of the four native cutthroat species Yellowstone, Snake River, Bonneville and Colorado River that remain in the state. To officially claim your Cutt Slam certificate you have to submit documentation usually photographs of each species caught and released. Once you've caught and recorded all four, the state awards you a special certificate. Many anglers take multiple seasons to track down and catch all four species. "
