Package Bees
Today I bought 2 packages of bees. They cost $60 each. Ouch!
Each package comes with one queen and 2.5 pounds of bees.
Notice the can of sugar syrup in the top of the cage. This is food for the bees
If you take the can out the bees will have an egress. It is a good idea not to take the can out inside of your house.
The bees in the cage are clustered around the queen who is in her own little queen cage inside the cage.
I put one of the packages of bees into a hive today. I will do the other package tomorrow.
Bees are our friends. People who over-react about bees and claim that they are allergic to bees because they once were stung by a bee and swelled up are not.
