Most of my tomatoes are now 7' high. They are to the top of the trellis. I have pinched off the growing tips on these plants to stop the growth. It will be interesting to see how this affects the tomato production of the plant after this is done.

The zucchini that I am entering in the fair is getting too heavy for its stem. It is starting to tear. Hopefully it will last until I cut it off on Tuesday

A couple of my tomatoes showed signs of blossom end rot. This is usually caused because the plant is water stressed or it is not taking up enough calcium. I am pretty sure that my tomatoes are getting enough water, so that only left a calcium deficiency. So I mixed up 4 cups of gypsum and 2 tablespoons of borax and applied it to my growbox. I then watered it in. I hope that I do not see anymore end rot.

Free duck food!

Happy days today. A neighbor was moving to St. George and he didn't want to lug around his 400 lbs. of wheat so he gave it to me.
